Dr. Yance Arizona, S.H., M.H., M.A., has more than 15 years of extensive experience in constitutional law, public policy, socio-legal research, and strategic legal counseling. As the founder of Pillar Law Firm, he combines his deep academic expertise with senior-level advisory experience to guide institutions and corporations through complex regulatory, societal, and legal challenges in Indonesia.

Academic Qualifications

Dr. Yance holds a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law in Constitutional Law from Universitas Andalas and Universitas Indonesia, a Master of Arts in Socio-legal Studies from Oñati International Institute, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law and Society from Universiteit Leiden. He also completed prestigious executive and advanced training programs at Columbia University and UC Berkeley.

Professional Qualifications

Dr. Yance is a highly experienced policy consultant and legal advisor who has provided strategic counsel for the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) and the Environmental Bamboo Foundation. His leadership and administrative expertise are demonstrated through his tenure as Executive Director at the Epistema Institute, complemented by over ten years of academic contribution as a Law Lecturer at President University and Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Dr. Charles Simabura, S.H., M.H., has more than 20 years of extensive experience in constitutional law, academic research, and legal advocacy. He specializes in state governance, legislative drafting, and anti-corruption initiatives, frequently appearing before public forums and high-level civil society collaborations at both local and national level.

Charles holds a Bachelor’s degree (S.H.) and a Master’s degree (M.H.) in Law from Universitas Andalas, and a Doctoral degree in Law (Dr.) from the University of Indonesia.

Professional Qualifications

Charles is an expert constitutional scholar, researcher, and senior lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Andalas, currently serving as the Director of the Center for Constitutional Studies (PUSaKO).

Hadi Rahmat Purnama, S.H., LL.M., has more than 23 years of extensive experience in Public International Law, Human Rights Law, and International Trade Law. He handles legal advisory for various Indonesian government ministries on trade and investment issues, provides high-level training on International Humanitarian Law for legal enforcement officers, and has extensive experience handling international trade matters including WTO dispute settlements.

Hadi holds a Bachelor’s degree (S.H.) from Universitas Indonesia, a Master’s degree (LL.M.) from Washington College of Law, American University, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Transnational Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Hadi is a senior legal consultant, prominent international academic, and Chair of the International Law Department at Universitas Indonesia, who has served as a Trade Lawyer for the USAID-funded Indonesia Trade Assistance Project (ITAP) and currently holds leadership roles in regional networks including SEAHRN and LP3ES.
